Faced with a water crisis that is slowly choking his hometown, itinerant violin instructor Lester Katz joins four contestants on The IconTest. A high-stakes game show hosted by the AI-powered mega studio Rosetta, where one’s musical abilities are tested in a series of dangerous challenges. The winner gets a lifetime contract with Rosetta, but Lester has his eyes on a bigger prize: releasing Rosetta’s grip on his city’s water supply. For this, he’ll need the help of the studio’s top pop star, Vanessa Hawkins (Radhika Madan), who alone knows the secret code needed to beat the nanomachine-powered Nilo Dragonis that controls the studio. But to get there, Lester will have to contend with the IconTest’s strict, corporate code of conduct, violation of which will make the challenges far more difficult than Lester could have ever imagined.
